Excellent pick of the BBC. Lots of films of Welles, Kubrick, Scorsese, Ford, Coppola, Hitchcock, Wilder, even Murnau. Ok, the usual suspects, but always good. Some surprises: films by Charles Burnett, Maysles Brothers, Maya Deren, and Harold Ramis (Yes, I love Groundhog day)! I could do without Heavens Gate, Birth of a Nation, Koyaanisqatsi and Johnny Guitar. Underrated: Howard Hawks, Coen Brothers and Pixar. Fun list.
