After a slow start, TCM blossoms with some rare and intriguing May flowers. There's the silent serial Judex which is a must for film historians. There's some Ozu, Godard and Truffaut for cineastes and a screening of Coppola's seldom seen bit of American art house The Rain People on the 21st. Plenty of lighter moments too, including a Harold Lloyd Festival and the cheese-ball classic A Summer Place. The month ends with a bang when lovers of big hair, and other big anatomical parts, will will want to catch the campy 1980s hit Night of the Comet.

I highly recommend The Outfit for those who like 1970s crime films.
Bullitt is more than a car chase and good to watch also. Speaking of McQueen, LeMans is horrible except for the racing parts.

In 1981 I saw True Confessions, and never forget the scenes in the porn studio with the blood traces. At the time, I tried to see everything De Niro was in. When did that stop?
I would like to see Ozu's Late Autumn. I am watching Mark Cousins' The Story of Film, and the good thing of the series is that he makes you hungry for some classic films.
