Best Films of 2011 (or so they say)

I'm supposed to make a list of the best films of the year. It's one of the many awesome responsibilities we film bloggers face, along with making sure our beloved readers don't waste two hours on cinematic mediocrities. Well, the local multiplex hasn't seen my shadow in awhile and I've got no clue what's going on out there. So here's some year-end lists compiled by other folks who should know what they're talking about...

This gives me an idea: The Top 10 Films I Watched this Year. I don't think I've watched a film that came out this year, but I have watched several movies.

Will: You're welcome. Managing one's DVD queue is the real value of these lists, in my opinion

RH: Definitely do that, it would be an interesting post.

Yesss, I can just make a Top 5:
1. The Tree of Life
2. Blaze Fley: Duct Tape messiah
3. Margin Call
4. Midnight in Paris
5. Harry Potter and The Deadly Hollows
And most overrated: The Artist (such a cliché vision of the silent era. A disappointment.)

haha, taking the easy road, eh? How can I post a "Why the hell didn't you include *insert title*"-post, when you didn't provide anything to criticize? =)

Bob: Tree of Life and Moneyball are about the only new films I saw this year that were any good...so I could make a year end top 2
list:)
Thanks for your list. It's the first negative I've heard about The Artist yet, but it hasn't played in many US cities so far.
